Auditions
The following auditions will be held at our theater on 10 Mechanic St., Lebanon, OH. Auditioners will do cold readings from the script.
Everybody Loves Opal
Written by John Patrick is the delightful and heartwarming tale of a simple woman who finds herself in the company of a band of low lifes who figure her for an easy mark. The plan is to insure her life for a lot of money, bump her off and claim the bounty. Of course, life is never as simple as it seems, and what happens changes all their lives for the better. This is a charming comedy suitable for all ages. The show will be directed by Jhon Marshal and produced by Karen Oehler.
Roles
- Bradford ("Brad")- A bitter con man on whom the good in people is truly lost. Mid 30's to late 40's.
- Gloria - A young lady who has not had an easy life. She has to be taught to appreciate the good in people. Mid 20's to early 30's.
- Solomon ("Sol") - A bit of a bumbler who is a good man at heart but swept up in bad situations. Early 40's to late 50's.
- Joe - A young police officer who wants to make sure only good comes to Opal. Late 20's to late 30's.
- Doctor - Arrives to check on Opal's health and leaves questioning his own sanity. A nice comic role. Mid 50's to early 70's.
